The First Cutting Seminar of 2012 went amazingly!

Monday was the first of our cutting/dressing seminars of 2012 at David Thomas Academy Preston… It was a fantastic day, made even better by all the great attendants!

New year, brand new seminars @ David Thomas!

2011 has been a fantastic year for education at David Thomas… A huge thanks to Neil & all of the team at Salon Promotions for all their hard work & support with the academy… Not forgetting to thank of course all of the salon owners & stylists who attended & helped to make it such an amazing year!

We have a fantastic new line up of seminars for the new year… Here’s a little bit about each of them…

Ready Steady Cut... A brand new concept for the new year!

Fun & inspiring… Makes you think out of that box! We want you to bring a model, with any length of hair… The model needs to be open to a change, not a mad one, but tasteful & gorgeous! There will be two demonstrations in the morning showing a variety of different techniques. In the afternoon you must choose at least three of the techniques to incorporate into creating a new look on your model… David & his team will be there to guide & encourage you!

Lisa... Our new short, strong structured haircut.

The emphasis is on shape with this cut, influenced by the iconic looks of the 60s, we will be pushing the boundaries… Strong, simplistic looks that will inspire you to change your clients look… This technique can be used even as just part of a haircut!

Dani... Our new medium length haircut.

As hairdressers our salons & columns are full of clients with medium to long length hair… This course is about introducing layers with a gorgeous creative technique. The objective is to create layers that are seamless, which let hair move & flow freely, & ultimately allowing you the hairdresser to create sexy, feminine hair!

Editorial Dressing... New for 2012!

Have you ever looked in a magazine & thought, “How do they do that?” Well this course is designed to teach you just that! We will be using some avant garde & classic techniques to create hair that is fashionable, to the extreme, edgy & beautiful… This is a course for those inquisitive hairdressers that want some fun & inspiration to brighten up their columns, & create editorial hair fit for a magazine or local newspaper. David will give you tips on how to get your work published!

Colour the haircut... New for 2012!

We will be demonstrating one of our signature haircuts & demonstrating two colour techniques, on two of our signature haircuts…The objective is to show how colour can transform a haircut & be commercially viable in the salon too!
